Allied Health Care Professionals
The allied health are those clinical healthcare professions distinct from the medical and nursing professions. As the name implies, they are all allies in the healthcare team, working together to make the healthcare system function.
Within the Stanton Territorial Health Authority, we employ the following allied health care professionals: biomedical technicians, biomedical engineers, sonographers, mammographers, medical laboratory technologists, medical radiation technologists, medical health information management professionals, ophthalmology technicians, audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech language pathologists, rehabilitation assistants, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and respiratory therapists.
Allied health positions can be found at the Human Resources section of the Government of the Northwest Territories Website.
When applying through the Department of Human Resources please send a second copy of your resume and application to the manager of the department to which you are applying.
Candidates must provide a satisfactory criminal record check if they are contacted for an interview. Failure to provide a satisfactory check may deem you disqualified from the competitive process.
Managers’ e-mail and phone numbers are available in the Government of the NWT Phone Directory. (You will have to set the search parameters there to "Department equals Stanton Territorial Health Authority".)
